Tuesday October 2nd

I can’t believe its October!!!! There is an Autumn feel to the Cotswolds now and the winter National Hunt season is nearly upon us.

We schooled and worked some horses in Lambourn last week. They all went brilliantly.

Paddy this side on ‘Poetic Rhythm’ who is nearly ready for his chasing debut. Far side is Connor on ‘Barney Dwan’ who is on springs!!!

Alain on ‘Paul’s Hill’ who also makes his Chasing debut in the coming weeks.

Paddy this side on ‘Poetic Rhythm’ and Connor far side on ‘Champagne Well’ who heads to the bumper at Chepstow in 2 weeks.

We enjoyed the McCoy awards on Friday night. Head lad Kev didn’t win but he received the loudest cheer when the nominees were read out and we were very proud of him. It is a big achievement to be on the short list.

Ally on ‘Saturdaynightfever’ who is bouncing. He was slightly disappointing in his bumpers but jumps superb so we are looking forward to his novice hurdle campaign.

Paddy on ‘De Name Evades Me’ who looks amazing. He is a chaser in the making.

Simon on ‘Socksy’ who had her first school this morning.

No runners today as ‘River Intrigue’ tweaked something yesterday and didn’t look quite right so he will wait for another day.

Tomorrow we have 2 runners at Bangor. ‘Red Hot Chilly’ and ‘Shows Over’ both run.

Thanks for reading.
