Tuesday June 5th

A superb win for The Yes No Wait Sorries yesterday as ‘Grageelagh Girl’ stormed home in the mares maiden hurdle at Newton Abbot. It was her hurdles debut and she jumped really well under Paddy and we are looking forward to an exciting summer ahead with her.

We were really happy last week at Ffos Las with ‘Lily of Leysborne’. She made her debut for us in a mares novice hurdle and came a solid 2nd. She benefitted from having a hood on which kept her relaxed and she jumped really well.

Some dedicated members of FOB2 made the long trip to Ffos Las to watch ‘Sissinghurst’ which didn’t go to plan. He was running a nice race but a mistake down the back ended his chance. He is fine after the race.

We had a fun day Sunday at Bratton Down Pony Racing Championships. Kaitlin and ‘Captain Hurricane’ came 4th in the 148 Novice Riders final so we congratulate her on a brilliant result. She got a great start which isn’t easy when 10 children all want to make the running and he stayed on well to be 4th. Both Kaitlin and Fern ride out every chance they get and have both had brilliant first seasons point racing. We are looking forward to some pony racing on the proper tracks now through the summer.

We also want to congratulate Jacob on a good first season Point To Pointing. On Sunday he gained another place on ‘Pantxoa’ who was previously running under rules for us before Jacob took him on. He has ridden a good winner this season on ‘Pantxoa’ trained by Linda and they both put in a lot of hard work.

Today we have 2 runners.

‘Kiruna Peak’ runs in the 2:15 at Fontwell which is a mares handicap hurdle. She ran a blinder on we debut over hurdles at this track so we hope that she can go close today in her grade. Richard Patrick rides her.

Ally giving ‘Kiruna Peak’ a school last week ready for today.

‘Cheltenam De Vaige’ makes his chase debut at Bangor in the 3:00. Paddy rides him. He has been schooling well at home so we hope for a solid round of jumping today which will put him in the frame.

We have ‘Troika Steppes’ running in a handicap chase tomorrow at Uttoxeter. Ally rides.

Thankyou for reading.
