Thursday October 12th

A lovely morning at the yard. It started very foggy and cold and ended up glorious.

Paddy and Johnny Burke were in to school and all horses went really well. The sun was in a bad place to get good pictures today so they are a bit dark.

Jacob on ‘Paul’s Hill’ who jumped really well.

Brodie on ‘Petite Power’ who winged everything.

We had a visit from Richard Perham who is an instructor at The British Racing School, Newmarket. He made the long journey from Newmarket to video out younger staff on the gallops and assess the footage afterwards.  I watched some of the close up recordings on the TV in our office afterwards and Richards feedback was very helpful and motivating for the staff as they could watch their mistakes and then they worked on improving their technique on the mechanical horse afterwards.

Richard filming our younger staff on the gallops.

‘Sissinghurst’ runs today in the 5pm at Worcester. He was the first runner for The FOB Racing Partnership 2 and Paddy made it a winning one. He won in style and bids to make it 2 out of 2 today.

‘Mighty Leader’ runs tomorrow at Newton Abbot. He won a similar race 3 weeks ago. It is much tougher tomorrow but he always gives it his best shot!!! Brodie rides.
Thanks for reading.
