Thursday December 13th

A good week so far with 2 winners and a strong 2 days at Cheltenham ahead of us.

‘Jenny’s Surprise’ showed what a genuine mare she is on Monday at Lingfield. She looked booked for 2nd turning for home but she stayed on better than the favourite and went on to win nicely. A great ride by Paddy.

Simon schooling ‘Jenny’s Surprise’ in preparation for her season debut on Monday.

Yesterday ‘Chilli Romance’ finally got her head infront for Ian and Ange Slatter in a mares novices handicap hurdle at Leicester. Connor gave her a positive ride and she flew home to win by 9 lengths in the end!!!

Anna and ‘Chilli Romance’ looking very pleased with herself after her win yesterday.

Today we have ‘Risky Gold’ running in the Maiden hurdle at Warwick at 12:50. Ally won a point to point easily on him and then he was a bit disappointing in a bumper but we put it down to the ground being too quick. Connor rides him for The Yes No Wait Sorries. He jumps really well so we are looking forward to his hurdling debut.

Tomorrow we have ‘Jarveys Plate’ and ‘Troubled Soul’ running at Cheltenham.

We schooled ‘Lord Of The Island’ and ‘Liosduin Bhearna’ at Warwick yesterday. They went really well.

‘Liosduin Bhearna’ ridden by Connor who has been very consistent. He has been placed in both of his Irish Point to Points and both bumpers. He has an entry at Newbury next week.

David Bass on ‘Lord Of The Island’ who is back after an injury and heads for Kempton on Boxing Day.

Thanks for reading.
