Sunday October 28th

A wonderful end to the first Cheltenham meeting of the season with ‘Strong Glance’ justifying favouritism to get up and win in the last 5 strides of the race. He was given a super ride by Alain who hit him into contention coming into the home straight and this exciting young horse wanted to win. His owners/breeders were over the moon to say the least!!!!

The Rainbows in the paddock with Alain before the race.

Collecting the well deserved prize!!!

‘Robyndzone’ didn’t disgrace himself and for a 4 year old he travelled well and just couldn’t quicken up the hill. The run will bring him on and we look forward to his next outing.

Connections with Paddy before the race.

Earlier in the day ‘De Name Evades Me’ delighted everyone with a solid 2nd. The winner looks a serious horse so we were delighted with his effort.

A lovely bunch who enjoyed a super run at the premier track.

‘Perfect Candidate’ made a solid start to the season and he will look forward to the next Cheltenham meeting where he won last season.

Today we have ‘Aye Aye Charlie’ in the first at Aintree. He showed some serious ability last season finishing off with a Grade 1 place at this track at the Grand National meeting. We hope he runs a big race.

‘Tashunka’ runs in the last at Aintree. She had a brilliant season in bumpers last season so tries her luck today in the mares Bumper for FOB3 who are there in force so fingers crossed she runs a huge race. Paddy rides both at Aintree.

Tashunka back in the summer on her holidays. It’s back to work today at Aintree!!!

I am at Wincanton with ‘Mighty Leader’ who runs in the 3m2 handicap chase at 2:45. He has been in superb form this summer and will give it his all to do his best again today. Connor won on him last time out at Perth and he takes off 10lb once again today.

The superstar ‘Mighty Leader’ winning at Perth last time out.
