Sunday November 19th

A lot to catch up on from another wonderful week.

‘Benechenko’ and ‘Cheltenam De Vaige’ were beaten Favourites earlier in the week but both ran fantastic races to only be beaten by such short margins. They were very solid performances.

Thursday saw all runners run solid races at Ludlow.

‘Oscar Rose’ jumped beautifully to be a good 2nd to a promising filly owned by the Queen.

‘Creevytennant’ tried his heart out as always and got himself another place in the winners enclosure when 4th over hurdles.

‘Petite Power’ found the track too fast but also tried very hard running on to be 5th.

‘Indian Reel’ was in a very competitive race and didn’t disgrace himself having a good round of jumping. He will be helped by the handicapper soon and we will find an easier race for him.

Cheltenham November meeting was then upon us.

One of our favourite places!!!!……

The Cheltenham Paddock and Winners Enclosure.

‘Poetic Rhythm’ ran his heart out with a penalty and came a close 3rd. That was a huge performance giving weight away. He tries immensely hard and he really is a yard favourite.

Gorgeous George doesn’t know how to give up!!!!

We had a unbelievable day yesterday with 2 very special horses winning.

‘Perfect Candidate’ who loves Cheltenham tried so hard and just held on in the gruelling 3m3 handicap chase. It wouldn’t have been his favourite ground but that shows what a massive performance it was. Paddy gave him a sensational ride and kept him up to his job and he came gone infront for our yard sponsors isl recruitment.

Only 10 minutes later ‘Jenny’s Surprise’ made it an across the card double winning a 3m2 handicap chase ridden by Alain. She was returning from a long lay off and she has been newly leased by Foxtrot Nh Racing Syndicate. She jumped beautifully and never looked in doubt turning for home.

Foxtrot Nh racing syndicate with ‘Jenny’s Surprise’ when they came to visit her at Upper Yard.

The 2 bumper horses ran really well at both meetings.

‘Grageelagh Girl’ ran another massive race coming 2nd in the mares listed event at Cheltenham. Paddy rode her on ground which wasn’t totally ideal for her.

‘Mount Batur’ travelled very nicely at Uttoxeter but was a bit green at the finish coming a solid 4th with Connor. He has a big future.

Today Alain rides ‘Wells Gold’ at 12:30 at Fontwell and Richard Patrick rides ‘Lip Service’ in the 1:15 at Cheltenham.

We wish them the best of luck.

Thanks for reading.
