Sunday December 30th

A solid day yesterday with 2 5ths in big races. ‘Coolanly’ ran a blinder in the Grade 1 Challow hurdle and the lack of pace probably didn’t show him at his true best. I can’t wait to see him over a bit further.

‘Strong Glance’ took a good step further from his first attempt over hurdles and jumped much better and just missed out on 4th.

Today we have 3 runners.

‘Champagne Well’ is our first runner at 1:15 at Taunton. Paddy rides him in his first novice hurdle over 2m3. He won his bumper really well last time at Sedgefield and his true talents will show over jumps.

‘Champagne Well’ in the winners enclosure after winning his bumper last time out at Sedgefield.

‘Ballyhome’ is our next runner at Haydock in the 2:30. He runs in a 2 mile 6 handicap hurdle. He has been crying out for softer ground so we hope that can bring further improvement in him. He ran a blinder at Cheltenham last time out and comes here is good form. Connor rides.

Connor giving ‘Ballyhome’ a school in preparation for today.

Our last runner is ‘Oscar Rose’ at Taunton in a Mares Listed hurdle over 2 miles. She has been in blinding form this season with a huge 2nd last time out at Cheltenham. We have a big task ahead to beat the superb mare ‘Posh Trish’ but we are going to give it our best shot!!!

The stunning genuine mare ‘Oscar Rose’.

One runner tomorrow at Uttoxeter. ‘ Good And Hardy’ runs in a 2m7 Maiden hurdle.
