Saturday October 27th

A very busy Saturday morning with a huge turnout at the yard.

The weather was very cold but everyone wrapped up warm and braved it out.

We enjoyed a solid day yesterday.

‘Grageelagh Girl’ travelled through the race exceptionally but just didn’t finish her race off. Hopefully something will come to light or maybe the trip was a bit too far. Either way she is fine today.

‘Lungarno Palace’ ran a blinder to come 4th. He jumped great and stayed on well up the hill. His owners were over the moon!!! So were we.

Alain with connections in the paddock before the race.

And a delighted bunch in the winners enclosure after a brilliant finish.

‘Bells N Banjos’ then ran a solid race to finish mid division in a competitive handicap Chase. Ally enjoyed her last ride and is adamant that she is hanging up her boots now after a great career and lots of winners…. her most memorable win must be winning at Cheltenham on ‘Troika Steppes’. She gave ‘Bells N Banjos’ a lovely ride. He jumped really well and never gave up. He galloped all the way up the hill and we were all very happy.

The stunning ‘Bells N Banjos’ in the paddock before the race.

Ally with the connections of ‘Bells N Banjos’ before getting a leg up.

Today we have 4 runners at Cheltenham.

‘Perfect Candidate’ is our first runner in the 3m1 handicap chase. He loves Cheltenham and always tries his best.

Abbie and the gorgeous ‘Perfect Candidate’ out on the Drag hunting field.

We then have ‘De Name Evades me’ running in a 3 mile novice hurdle at 4:20. He ran brilliantly in the 2 novice hurdles we ran him in last season and we look forward to his seasonal reappearance today.

We finish the day with 2 runners in the Bumper. ‘Strong Glance’ and ‘Robyndzone’ are 2 very nice young horses who we think a lot of. I’m not sure who I would have my money on!!! We just want them to run well and come back safe.

Tomorrow we have ‘Aye Aye Charlie’ and ‘Tashunka’ at Aintree and ‘Mighty Leader’ running at Wincanton.

Thanks for reading.
