Saturday May 12th

A brilliant week at the office. Another 2 winners to add to the collection.

Warwick was a good day on Monday with ‘Lungarno Palace’ and ‘Indian Reel’ both taking part in close exciting finishes and both were beaten less than a length!!!

Carry on Regardless in the paddock before ‘Indian Reel’ went on to be a close 3rd with Lilly on board in a handicap hurdle over 3 miles.

‘Mighty Leader’ was fantastic winning his first chase at Newton Abbot on Wednesday. He has been very unlucky to fall in his other 2 chases in previous years but he has grown up a lot and now settles in his races which means he doesn’t guess at his jumps.

‘Mighty Leader’ schooling in the days before his Beginners Chase win for owners Oscar Singh and Priya Purewal.

Our 3rd winner of the season came on Thursday at Huntingdon where ‘Cosmic King’ cruised through the field to win a 2 mile Novice Handicap Hurdle under a well timed ride from Paddy.

The lovely ‘Cosmic King’ in the winners enclosure with owners June and Tim Watts.

A few hours west of Huntingdon, I was at Worcester with ‘Jennifer Juniper’ who ran a much better race to come 3rd in a mares Maiden Hurdle. She made most of the running and galloped all the way to the line which she hasn’t been doing on soft ground so we were all very relieved as she shows a lot of promise at home.

The lovely ‘Jenifer Juniper’.

No runners today but we have 2 tomorrow at Southwell. ‘Phoebus Lescribaa’ and ‘Imperial Eloquence’ both run.

Thanks for reading.
