Saturday February 3rd
An exciting day today with 4 runners!! Fergal flew up to Scotland this morning and has 3 runners to saddle. I am on the way to Sandown for the 3:00 where we have ‘Okotoks’ running in the 3 mile Grade 3 hurdle. It is the race that we won last year with ‘Lord of the Island’ who would love the ground again this year. He is off recovering from an injury but he will be back for next season. ‘Okotoks’ is a lovely horse who works really well and had a solid run for us at Cheltenham. Paddy thinks he needs further so he gives this a go today with Sean Bowen on board.
Up at Musselburgh ‘Imperial Eloquence’ is the first runner in a novice hurdle at 12:55. He ran well at Aintree on better ground d so we hope the ground stays good to soft today. The top 2 in the betting look hard to beat but he has plenty of ability to give it a go.
‘Barney Dwan’ then runs in the 2nd race at 1:30. He is in fantastic form and won well at Market Rasen last time out. Brian Hughes rides him or Paul and Clare Rooney.

‘Bells N Banjos’ is our last runner of the day at 3:15 in The Edinburgh National over 4 miles. He has established himself as a good chaser and he stays all day so we are looking forward to it. Paddy rides.
Yesterday ‘Pauls Hill’ ran a blinder to come 3rd in a competitive novice hurdle. The first 2 drew clear of the rest but he beat a solid horse from the last who didn’t have a penalty so we were delighted with him. He may go chasing now when the ground improves a bit. He is made for chasing!!!

We welcomed lots of owners to the yard this morning as we do every Saturday. Today some of the owners of ‘Indian Reel’ came to celebrate last weeks win with a cake!!!!
