Saturday December 15th

A very cold day yesterday at Cheltenham and an extremely cold morning on the gallops this morning.

We started the day really well with ‘Jarveys Plate’ coming a brilliant 2nd in the Novice Hurdle. Paddy followed the winner and just couldn’t quicken with him after the last hurdle but he stayed on brilliantly to hold 2nd comfortably. He looks as smart as we hoped!!!

The super exciting ‘Jarveys Plate’

‘Troubled Soul’ was running a lovely race before falling but thankfully other than a few scrapes she is ok.

Today we have 2 more runners at Cheltenham.

‘Aye Aye Charlie’ is our first runner at 2:30. Paddy rides him in the Albert Bartlett Grade 2 over 3 miles. He won easily last time at Kelso and now we are stepping up in trip and the better grade of race will help him to concentrate. He is a huge prospect for the season so we hope he can go close today.

The cheeky boy ‘Aye Aye Charlie’.

Our 2nd runner is ‘Oscar Rose’ in the mares handicap hurdle at 3:40 over 2m4. She has been so consistent and ran a really huge race last time out to be 4th in a quality field at Ascot. Paddy rides her for Karen and Tony Exall and Martin Rice. We have place hopes for her at least!!

Tomorrow we have 1 runner at Southwell. ‘Saturdaynightfever’ runs in a 2m4 novice hurdle at 1:45.

Thanks for reading.
