Monday November 6th
We reached our 30th winner on Saturday. A wonderful day was enjoyed with a big double at Wetherby.
Paddy rode 2 amazing races on ‘Colin’s Sister’ to win the grade 2 West Yorkshire hurdle and ‘Diamond Fort’ to win a competitive handicap hurdle. They both did it in a similar fashion. Paddy held them up at the back and cruised through turning into the straight and they both picked up well to lead going into the last hurdle.
The amazing mare ‘Colin’s Sister’ in the winners enclosure.
Abbie and Fern leading ‘Diamond Fort’ back into the winners enclosure after his win.
And owner Dave Shorey collecting his prize.
Yesterday Fergal took ‘Colin’s Sister’ to see her owner Caroline Beresford-Wylie at her home as she didn’t make it to Wetherby due to a nasty fall she had recently and fractured her arm. We wish her a speedy recovery and send massive congratulatuons on another Grade 2 win.
We schooled a few lots this morning.
Connor this side on ‘Petite Power’ and Alain far side on ‘Wells Gold’
Today we have 1 runner at Southwell. ‘Strong Glance’ makes his racecourse debut in the newcomers bumper at 4pm. He goes very well on the gallops so we hope for a good start for him. Alain rides.
Ally schooling ‘Strong Glance’.
‘Barney Dwan’ is our only runner tomorrow at Exeter. He makes his seasonal debut back over fences. He was very unlucky last season due to no fault of his own so he starts again tomorrow. Noel Fehily rides him.
