Monday May 7th

A change in the weather and a brilliant start to the 2018/19 season.

We had a great day at Towcester yesterday with 3 good results.

‘Cuddles McGraw’ ran a better race to come 4th in the novice hurdle and he is going in the right direction.

‘Minella Scamp’ put our first winner on the board in the 2m5 Handicap Chase. Paddy sat to the inside all the way and nipped up the inner turning for home and nothing caught him. His jumping was impeccable and we are delighted to get another winner for Owner Malcolm Denmark.

Fergal and Daisy O’Brien in the winners enclosure with Mr and Mrs Pitman (M.Denmark’s Racing Manager) and Paddy with ‘Minella Scamp’.

First time out for us ‘Ask Dillon’ then finished off the day well with a good 2nd in the bumper. He travelled well at the back and cruised through to chase the winner all the way home. He is a lovely prospect for next season and he goes out on his summer holiday now.

The very promising ‘Ask Dillon’ .

We can finally start to get the winter horses out to grass now the weather has turned for the better. It’s lovely to see them all relaxing and having a well deserved break.

A lovely picture of a happy bunch. From Left to Right-

‘Aye Aye Charlie’, ‘Coolanly’, ‘Jarveys Plate and ‘Liosduin Bhearna’.

Today we have 2 runners at Warwick.

‘Lungarno Palace’ runs in the first at 1:30. He won his first hurdle race at Huntingdon so comes here today with a Penalty which may just cost him in the finish with the favourite looking hard to beat on the weights. He is a lovely horse and in great form at home so we hope he has another solid run today.

‘Indian Reel’ is our other runner at 5:00. He runs in a 3 mile 1 handicap hurdle. Lilly takes her 7lb claim off and it could just help us today with one of the favourites carrying a lot more weight. He has been running consistently well and another good run is on the cards today.

2 runners tomorrow at Exeter. ‘Lip Service’ and ‘Out Of Style’ both run.

Thanks for reading.
