Monday April 9th

A fun weekend at Andoversford Point To Point.

The girls had their first pony rides at the start of the afternoon and that went very smoothly. Both ponies behaved brilliantly and they had fun which is all that was required of this run.

Fern looking great up the running on ‘Flick’

Kaitlin at full stretch on ‘Captain Hurricane’

I would like to congratulate all of our lads and lasses that rode really nice races in the Point to Points afterwards-

Albie had a lovely safe round on ‘Tangolan’ on only has 2nd ride. He jumped well and just got a bit stuck in the mud.

Jacob had a very similar ride in the same race on ‘Pantxoa’ who had a nice round and also didn’t like the sticky ground.

Simon had a very close 2nd for local Point To Point trainers Alice and Andrew Campbell.

Ally gave ‘Vinnie Red’ a real confidence boosting run to come 3rd on his first run of the season. He travelled and jumped very well and just found the hill a bit too much on the last circuit.

Brodie got a lucky spare in the ladies and had to battle after the last but got up to win on the line.

This morning we enjoyed a fun schooling morning with Alain, Zac Baker and Paddy in to ride.

Paddy on ‘Lip Service’ who has a few entries over fences coming up.

Ally on ‘Poetic Rhythm’ who heads for the Aintree festival.

Zac on ‘Barrakilla’ who he rides in the Aintree Foxhunters on Thursday.

The 2 Grand National boys ‘Perfect Candidate’ and ‘Chase The Spud’ with Paddy and Alain on board having a spin over the National style fences. They went really well.

Today we have 2 runners at Kempton. ‘Lungarno Palace’ runs in the 2 mile Novice hurdle and ‘De Name Evades Me’ runs in the 3 mile Novice hurdle. They both have great chances of a place at worst so fingers crossed. Alain and Paddy ride one each!!

3 runners tomorrow at Southwell. ‘Jennifer Juniper’, ‘Cosmic King’ and ‘Jarveys Plate’ all run.

Thanks for reading.
