Friday March 1st

A brilliant day yesterday with an across the card double at Ludlow and Taunton. We deserved a bit of luck back in our corner after 2 near misses over the past 2 weeks. The horses are in really good form.

‘Soldier Of Love’ was our first winner at Taunton. He travelled really nicely through the race and jumped really well. He took over at the last hurdle and went away from the field with ease.

The lovely staying chaser for the future ‘Soldier Of Love’ led up by Andrew.

Then ‘Carrolls Milan’ made it a double under Connor when winning the mares handicap hurdle at Ludlow. She is very tough and genuine and she got to the front turning for home. She saw off a challenge at the last hurdle but she battled very gamely to hold on. It was also a great day for one of the members of ‘The Gud Tines Partnership’ Paul Nurden who had a double celebration as it was also his birthday yesterday so that was a lovely win for him.

The ultra tough mare ‘Carrolls Milan’ led up by Abbie.

Today we have ‘Oscar Rose’ running in a mares EBF Novice hurdle qualifier so she can run in the final at Newbury later in in March. She has one to beat so hopefully she can go close. Paddy rides.

The gorgeous ‘Oscar Rose’ with Karen and Tony Exall who own her along with Martin Rice.

Our other 2 runners are at Newbury.

Connor rides ‘Paint The Dream’ in the Conditional Jockeys race at 1:45. He has been very solid in his novice hurdles and today is his handicap debut and looks a nice race to start with. We hope he can prove himself in this company today and run another solid race.

‘Pride Of Lecale’ is our other runner in a 2m4 Novice hurdle at 3:25. He hasn’t had the weather wet enough this season but he has plenty of ability and should run a solid race. Noel Fehily rides him for Clare and Paul Rooney.

We have 2 runners at Kelso tomorrow and they set off on the long journey up north this morning. ‘Strong Glance’ and ‘Okotoks’ run there tomorrow.

Also tomorrow we have ‘Barney Dwan’ at Doncaster and ‘Master Dee’ and ‘Silver Hallmark’ at Newbury.

The exciting ‘Silver Hallmark’ makes his debut for us tomorrow at Newbury in the Bumper.
