Friday February 9th

A big mile stone reached yesterday as ‘Ratify’ made it 50 winners for the season!!!! That is counting our flat winner ‘The Groove’!!! Remarkably it was at the same Huntingdon meeting last season that ‘Petite Power’ won making it our 50th winner of last season for the same owners John and Val King!!!!

Luckily his year it was on the 8th and last year it was the 9th of February so we are a day ahead of last season!!!

Robbie Dunne gave ‘Ratify’ a super ride from the front and the 14 year old Gelding showed his guts as he looked like being passed after the last but he was never going to let that happen!!

‘Ratify’ in the winners enclosure at Huntingdon yesterday after our 50th winner.

A year ago ‘Petite Power’ in the winners enclosure after our 50th winner of the 2016/17 season.

A selfie with Harry and ‘Ratify’ after his win. Yesterday was Harry’s first time leading up at the races and he led in a winner!!!

‘Grand Introduction’ then made it a double on the day by winning at Towcester. Given a very positive ride from Paddy he jumped really well and stayed on well up the hill to score by 6 lengths. It has taken a bit of time but we always knew he had ability from his younger days and it has finally come together for him to the relief of us and owners Donna and Geoff Keeys.

We have 2 runners today.

‘Barrakilla’ runs at Bangor in a Hunters Chase at 2:45. Zac Baker rides him. He has had 2 years off due to injury so it may take a few runs to get him fully tuned up but he is a lovely horse and in good form at home.

‘Red Hot Chilly’ then runs at Chelmsford on the All Weather at 3:40. He is ridden by Charlie Bishop who rode him to a good 4th at Kempton last time. He could hopefully run a big race for us today.

2 runners tomorrow at Uttoxeter and Newbury.

Thanks for reading.
