Friday February 2nd

We are all glad to see the back of January as the weather was so wet and cold it was hard going…. but we were very happy to get our first winner of 2018 on Wednesday with ‘Indian Reel’. Paddy got a great tune out of him in a novice claiming hurdle. He travelled well and saw off 2 challenges to win by 2 lengths.

Connections collecting their prize.

….and celebrating with a glass of Champers!!

A beautiful morning this morning in Naunton.

Paddy was in this morning and he schooled ‘Cap Soleil’ who looks superb. She is on the road to the festival!!!

Paddy and Ally walking down to the schooling field to have a pop over the hurdles on the grass.

Fergal surprising head lad Kev with his new company van!!!

We have 1 runner today at Chepstow. ‘Paul’s Hill’ runs in a novice hurdle at 2:15. Paddy rides. We hope he runs a solid race with a penalty. He won an extraordinary race at Towcester in December where the leaders went too hard early and ‘Paul’s Hill’ kept galloping and passed everything up the home straight from at least 30 lengths back to win coming to the line.

Lots of runners tomorrow. 3 at Musselburgh and 1 at Sandown.

Thanks for reading.
