Friday December 15th

We had a busy morning at the yard today. Everyone is heading to Cheltenham for the two day meeting ahead. Lots of owners stay locally to have an easier journey into the course.

We are lucky that it’s our local track!!! A short 20 minute journey for us to get there is all it takes.

We have 3 runners today.

‘Alvarado’ runs at Doncaster in a confined handicap chase at 2:20. Horses can only run in this race if they have not won any race for a year but they must have ran in at least 3 handicap chases finishing in a placed position in at least one of them… so this race is perfect for us!!!! For these reasons there are only 7 horses running. He will love the ground so we hope he enjoys it and runs well. Brian Hughes rides.

‘Alvarado’ looking sharp and alert after a piece of work.

We have 2 runners at Cheltenham.

‘Okotoks’ has his first run for us at 1:20 in a handicap hurdle. He is owned by Malcolm Denmark and ridden by Paddy. He goes really well and we re looking forward to him.

The lovely ‘Luccombe Down’ then runs in the last race of the day at 3:40. 11 horses run over 3 miles in a handicap hurdle. He ran brilliantly to come 3rd over course and distance last time so we hope the ground doesn’t stop him today.

3 runners tomorrow back at Cheltenham. ‘Global Stage’, ‘Aye Aye Charlie’ and ‘Oscar Rose’ have all been declared. The ground may change plans tomorrow so I will keep you posted in the morning.

Thanks for reading.
