Friday April 6th

A wet frustrating week with all racing abandoned Monday and we were set to go to Warwick yesterday but that was abandoned too!!!

I am very happy to report a lovely spring day yesterday and today at last!!!!

‘Jenny’s surprise’ added to our tally of 2nds last Sunday with a fantastic run in the West Wales National over 3m4. It was perfect heavy ground for her and it ended up a real test which she looked the winner of turning for home. She is so game and tries so hard but found one too good for her in the end. She may head back to Ffos Las for one more race before her summer holiday.

Paddy debriefing the owners from Foxtrot racing who made the long journey down to support her.

You can see how testing the ground was just from the mud on Paddy and Jenny’s heads!!!!

We don’t have any runners tomorrow and just ‘Indian Reel’ on Sunday at Exeter. We do have an exciting day planned at Andoversford Point To Point on Sunday as Fern and Kaitlin ride in their first Pony race of the season on ‘Flick’ and ‘Captain Hurricane’.

Here are some lovely sunny schooling pictures from the week-

Ally on ‘Pride Of Lechale’ who is nearly ready to run after a year in the sidelines. He looks fantastic and we are very excited about him.

Paddy on ‘Cap Soliel’ who came out of her festival run really well and heads to Cheltenham in the middle of the month.

Katie had her 18th on Tuesday so we all wished her a Happy Birthday with a cake obviously!!!!

Thanks for reading
